My role as ambassador began last May (2004) with an orientation workshop and a traditional Caribbean dinner.
The workshop included information on traditional attire and details about the duties of my position.
My extremely busy schedule only allowed me to experience six other pavilions during the first week of Folklorama.
I took my role as Ambassador very seriously. I treated my pavilion quests as if they were coming to my home.
I made an effort to introduce myself to everyone and publicly welcomed special guests and was sure to thank them for attending.
I was honored to be an integral part of a world-renowned cultural festival such as Folklorama.
I had one of the most wonderful experiences in my life in my role as ambassabor.
I love meeting new people, enjoying different cultures and trying different kinds of food.
I especially enjoyed the opportunity to be the Master of Ceremonies for some of the shows at my pavilion.
Folklorama was a whirlwird of cultural delight this year (2004).
As an ambassador for the Caribbean Pavilion, I was honored and privileged to have the opportunity to meet all who wisited.
I highly recommend Folklorama if you want to learn more about other cultures.
YOU CAN BE AN AMBASSADOR TOO......
