first to offer 24-hour Caribbean channel

Apr 19, 05: TORONTO, Canada - Rogers Cable today announced that it is adding ATN Caribbean, Canada's first 24-hour Caribbean channel, to its list of multicultural channels.
The ATN Caribbean channel provides a full range of programming from the Caribbean and Africa including community events, dramas, sports and music. Special features include exclusive coverage of year round cricket games from around the world and music video programs featuring Reggae and Soca.

"Rogers continually strives to bring programming to our customers that other television providers do not offer," said David Purdy, Vice-President and General Manager, Television for Rogers Cable. "So, we are pleased to be the first in Canada to offer a 24-hour Caribbean channel that so many of our customers demand."
The ATN Caribbean will be offered to Rogers digital cable customers in Ontario on channel 640 and will cost $14.95 per month. The new channel brings the number of multicultural channels offered by Rogers in Ontario to twenty-eight.
