The 86-year-old former lawyer who ruled Dominica from 1980 to 1995 spent her retirement in her city residence where she fell and injured her left hip on August 27.
Dame Eugenia will be buried tomorrow following a private funeral (which she requested), family spokesman, Dr. Bernard Wiltshire said.
The Times also reported that Dame Eugenia had mandated the Lyndhurst Funeral Home, that "on no account must government authorities have anything to do with the arrangement for my burial".
Dame Eugenia's body was flown back to Dominica last Friday and was met by a guard of honour mounted by members of the Dominica Police Force.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was among Cabinet and family members, as well as supporters of Dame Eugenia's Dominica Freedom Party (DFP), who received the body at Canefield, just on the outskirts of the capital.
