Danish Reggae Act Dead In Jamaica





Hardbeatnews, KINGSTON, Jamaica, Tues. June 26, 2007: Thirty-two-year-old Danish rap and reggae artist, Natasja Saad, was last night being honored by fans, hours after she was killed in a car accident, in Jamaica.

Saad, one of Denmark's best-known dancehall performers, died when the car she was traveling in crashed into a utility pole, Jamaica police said yesterday.

“R.I.P Angel" stated one of the messages posted on MySpace last night. Another added, “Our thoughts are with her family and mother in these harsh times, terrible world when the good people goes first.”



Natasja was the winner of the Irie FM’s influential “Big Break” contest in Jamaica in Summer 2006. In 1990 when she formed the reggae band "No Name Requested" with Mukupa. Her first solo rap album was scheduled to be released in August. – Hardbeatnews.com
